arena_inside.JPGPula, being the largest city in the province of Istria (Istra) with a population of about 62.000, is situated in a large outstretching peninsula at the Adriatic sea coast, on seven hills, just like Rome. It's very mild Mediterranean climate also boasts having the cleanest sea water at its beaches and having large totally pristine nature landscapes, attaining it to be an increasing popular summer vacation destination with very hospitable and most comfortable holiday accommodations.

Pula is well known for its well established tradition of shipbuilding, fishing, food processing industry, winemaking and tourism. The city of Pula is 3000 years old, so it is also a town of profound culture and is known for its many ancient Roman monuments, the most famous of which is the Arena, the sixth largest preserved Amphiteatre in the world. It is very much in use today during summer pop and jazz concerts, operas, and the well known Pula film festival.
